At the pre-release event of They Call Him OG, Pawan Kalyan stunned audiences with a heartfelt praise for Sriya Reddy and an unexpected assurance that he’d one day share the screen with her in a “powerful” role.

Wrapping up his electrifying speech, Pawan turned his attention to Sriya, who plays Geetha in the film, a character kept under wraps by the team. He said, “Sriya Reddy is a powerful performer. She is a lioness. Her fitness levels will shock us. She has a strong punch power too and great oratory skills. She just asked me one thing – a powerful film. If I ever have to act with you (Sriya) in a powerful role, I am game.”

The declaration was met with loud cheers, as fans quickly picked up on the possibility of a future collaboration. Sriya Reddy’s role in Prabhas-Prashanth Neel’s Salaar worked big time with Telugu audiences.

OG, billed as a period gangster drama, is one of the most awaited releases of 2025. Pawan Kalyan steps into the role of Ojas Gambheera, a character designed to showcase him in a never-seen-before avatar. Bollywood star Emraan Hashmi plays Omi Bhau, the ruthless antagonist, while Priyanka Mohan takes on the female lead. The ensemble cast also includes heavyweights like Prakash Raj, Arjun Das, Shaam and Harish Uthaman.

Backing this star power is an equally formidable technical team. Cinematographers Ravi K Chandran and Manoj Paramahamsa cranking the camera, A S Prakash handles production design, and Thaman’s music has already lit up playlists and charts. Produced by DVV Entertainment, OG has been mounted on a massive scale, with expectations now reaching fever pitch.

For now, though, all eyes remain firmly on OG’s trailer with its worldwide release slated for September 25.
