The makers of Ram Pothineni's Andhra King Taluka unveiled a special poster of Upendra to mark his birthday on Thursday. In the poster, the Kannada superstar appears in a flamboyant avatar, greeting a cheering crowd, perfectly in line with his character Surya, who is a superstar in the film.

The Mahesh Babu P directorial Andhra King Taluka has already made its presence felt. From the title glimpse that went viral to two chart-topping songs, one written by Ram Pothineni himself and another sung by him, the buzz around the film has been positive. Adding to that excitement, the team’s celebratory birthday poster for Upendra has only raised expectations.

Producers revealed that Upendra’s role as the titular “Andhra King” is not just a cameo, but a pivotal part of the story. “His character is highly crucial and will be awe-inspiring,” the team noted. His casting is particularly timely, coming off his recent appearance in Coolie, which reminded audiences of his magnetic screen presence.

Meanwhile, Ram Pothineni is headlining Andhra King Taluka as a die-hard fan, with the film billed as a “biopic of a fan.” The first glimpse hints at a meta spin, exploring the emotional bond between cinema and its followers. Bhagyashri Borse plays the female lead, while a strong supporting cast featuring Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Satya, Rahul Ramakrishna and VTV Ganesh backs the ensemble.

Currently, a major song sequence is being shot on a specially erected set in Hyderabad with Ram and a large group of dancers. Andhra King Taluka’s technical crew has music duo Vivek–Mervin, cinematographer Siddhartha Nuni, editor Sreekar Prasad and production designer Avinash Kolla. The film is being bankrolled by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner, with T-Series presenting. The film is arriving in theatres on November 28.
