The makers of Mirai held a grand success meet on Saturday in Hyderabad, to celebrate the opening day figures for their film. The primary cast and crew were present at the event. On the occasion, producer TG Vishwa Prasad acknowledged the contribution of Rana Daggubati towards the film’s widescale pan-India release.

Addressing the media, the Mirai producer said, “Rana Daggubati was our first pillar of support outside the production team. 6-7 months ago, he came on his own and told me, ‘If you want to release this film in Hindi, then you have to collaborate with the right people. He was the one who connected us to Dharma productions, and encouraged us a lot.” Elaborating on Rana Daggubati’s cameo in the film, TG Vishwa Prasad said, “Even when it came to playing a special cameo, he happily did it.”

Addressing Rana Daggubati’s support, Teja Sajja recalled, “After Karthik approached him for the cameo role and he accepted, I personally met him and asked, ‘Are you sure? This film won’t be of any help to you as such…,’ to which Rana gaaru replied, ‘This will help you, right. I am doing it.’

Teja Sajja also acknowledged Rana’s contribution in the success of HanuMan, which first introduced Teja to Hindi belt audience. Teja added, “For HanuMan too, he came to Bombay and held a special press meet for me, just after watching the teaser and trailer. He had no connection with the film, but he said, ‘Your film deserves a big platform, and I will support you.’ He always pushes good movie; quality cinema good reach wide audience; that’s his own goal.”

Among others, director Karthik Gattamneni, Manchu Manoj and Ritika Nayak were also present at the success meet.
