The makers of Shiva Kandukuri starrer Chai Wala had released the first teaser of their film in August. Continuing their promotions, the team released the first single titled ‘Sakhire’ on Thursday.
Composed by Prashanth R Vihari, ‘Sakhire’ is a melodious romantic composition with groovy beats and an impressive incorporation of classical sensibilities, both on vocals and purcussion level. Kapil Kapilan, the playback singer for the romantic number, hits the high notes with great impact while the lyrics are by Sureesh Banisetti. Additionally, Sarath J and Nitheesh Kondiparthi have been credited with woodwinds and guitar section, respectively.
Prashanth R Vihari has previously composed for films like Chi La Sow, Dosaraani, and Masooda.
Written and directed by Pramod Harsha, Chai Wala promises to be a heartwarming story revolving around a carefree young man and his caring father, talking about family roots and ambitions, and the age-old dichotomy of the two. The film stars Rajeev Kanakala in the father’s role, and Teju Ashwini as the female lead. Rajkumar Kasireddy, meanwhile, will be seen as the protagonist’s friend. The ensemble cast includes Chaitanya Krishna and Vadlamani Srinivas among others. Among other crew members, Kranthi Virla is the cinematographer and Supriya Battepari is the production designer. Chai Wala is produced by Radha V Papudippu & Co-Produced by Venkat R Papudippu under Harshika Productions Banner. The makers are yet to announce a release date.
Shiva Kandukuri’s upcoming projects include Boomerang, where he will be paired with Anu Emmanuel. Rajeev Kanakala was recently seen playing a stern father figure in Mouli starrer Little Hearts, for which he won a lot of praise.
