Writer-director Vimal Krishna, who made a successful debut with the 2022 comedy DJ Tillu, surprised all film-goers by going into an unexplained hiatus soon after the film’s box office success. The filmmaker is now back with his next project that will be produced by Chilaka Productions. 

The makers released a unique and hilarious tongue-in-cheek announcement video on the occasion, which features snippets from various Vimal Krishna interviews from the past, intercut with Brahmanandam memes, taking a dig at the rift between filmmakers’ words and actions.

The video then cuts to Vimal Krishna interacting with DJ Tillu composer Sricharan Pakala, who is taunting him about his laidback approach and eggs him to crack another story for a film. Vimal Krishna then narrates a wacky character concept, leaving both Sricharan and the audience on a note of intrigue.

The untitled project marks 4rth production for Chilaka Productions that has previously made Aa Okkati Adakku among other films. Although more details about the primary cast are yet to be announced, reportedly the makers have approached Venkatesh for the lead role.
