Kiran Abbavaram starrer K-Ramp, which had a theatrical release on October 18, registered decent collections on its opening weekend. More importantly, the film held up very well on Monday too, showing only a small decline in its footfalls.
The Kiran Abbavaram starrer collected Rs 2.33 crore nett on Monday, October 21, according to a report from Sacnilk.com. The decline from its Sunday figures is merely 18 percent, which is pretty impressive.
Ofcourse, K-Ramp had the benefit of Diwali occasion, which usually registers significantly higher footfalls. Now it remains to be seen whether the film continues to hold its ground in the coming few days. The film’s domestic nett collections stand at Rs 7.43 crore, as of Monday.
K-Ramp also has an advantage compared to other Telugu releases — Mithra Mandali, which received largely negative reviews, and Telusu Kada, which had a mixed response from audience. Made on a budget of 18 crores, The film’s breakeven is reportedly set at Rs 16 crore worldwide. Considering there is no major release lined up for October 24, K-Ramp is more than likely to achieve the breakeven target soon
Directed by debutant Jains Nani, K-Ramp features many stellar actors in the ensemble cast like Vennela Kishore, Muralidhar Goud, Sai Kumar, and Naresh VK. Yukti Thareja plays the female lead. The comedy-entertainer is produced by Razesh Danda under the banner of Hasya Movies, who have earlier produced films like Mazaka and Samajavaragamana.
While Kiran Abbavaram’s previous film, Dilruba, did not resonate with the audience, Kiran Abbavaram seems to have another hit on his hands with K-Ramp, after KA, the psychological thriller that emerged as a sleeper hit on previous Diwali. His upcoming films include Chennai Love Story, a sensitive love story which also stars Gouri Priya.
