Sharwanand, who hasn’t had a film release in more than a year, has three films geared up for 2026, one each with People Media Factory, Sri Sathya Sai Arts and UV Creations. The title of his film with UV Creations was officially announced on the occasion of Diwali, with a new poster.
Sharwa36, as it was tentatively called so far, is now titled Biker. The new poster finally confirms Sharwanand playing a professional motorbike racer in the film. With a clean-shaven face and a new hairdo, Sharwanand distinctly looks different from many of his recent movies.
According to a statement released by the team, ‘Biker is a captivating tale of a family spanning three generations, united by love and dreams against the thrilling backdrop of motocross racing set in the early 90’s and 20’s.’ Earlier, the team had shared a concept poster, which featured the protagonist in the midst of a adrenaline-pumping dirt bike race. The project was officially announced in March 2024, when the said poster was unveiled.
Biker stars Malavika Nair, who was last seen in a cameo appearance in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki: 2898 AD, as the female lead and marks her first collaboration with Sharwanand. The film is directed by Abhilash Kankara, who earlier directed the popular web series Loser. Ghibran is the music director for the project. J Yuvraj is the cinematographer, whereas Anil Kumar P is the editor. Vikram Reddy is onboard as the presenter.
Produced by Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Uppalapatti Pramodh, Biker marks the fourth collaboration between Sharwanand and UV Creations – they had earlier worked together on films like Run Raja Run (2014), Express Raja (2016), and Mahanubhavudu (2017). Sharwanand’s previous film Manamey, which also starred Krithi Shetty, performed average at the box office.
