The makers of Aadi Saikumar’s genre-bender film Shambhala: A Mystical World have set a release date for their film. Bankrolled under Shining Pictures banner, Shambhala will arrive in theatres on December 25, on the occasion of Christmas.

It is to be noted that Roshan Meka’s sports-drama Champion is already slated for a December 25 release. Additionally, while the makers of Vishwak Sen starrer Funky haven’t confirmed it yet, they plan to arrive on the same date. With Shambhala joining the race, Telugu film-goers are going to have a wide variety of options for their year-end trip to the movies.

Aadi Saikumar shared the update on his X page, captioning the post, “Proud to announce that my upcoming film Shambhala will release on December 25th, this Christmas. A gripping mix of horror and mystery awaits — stay tuned for a spine-chilling experience! This is gonna be big.” The first teaser of Shambhala, which was unveiled in June this year, promises to tell the story of a small village that finds itself haunted by supernatural activities soon after appearance of a mysterious UFO, and which shall soon be saved and redeemed by the protagonist (Aadi). 

Aadi also shared a new poster, which has at the centre, while a demon made of flames lurks behind him and a loyal dog sits by his side in his strenuous journey.  Directed by Ugandhar Muni, Shambhala features Archana Iyer, Swasika, Ravi Varma, Madhunandan, Shiva Karthik, and Shailaja Priya in the primary cast. Ugandhar made his directorial debut 4 years ago with A (Ad Infinitum) which featured Nithin Prasanna and Preethi Asrani in the lead. 

The film is produced by Rajasekhar Annabhimoju and Mahidhar Reddy. On the technical front, Praveen K Bangari helms the cinematography and Sricharan Pakala has provided background score. 

Aadi Saikumar was last seen in the action thriller Shanmukha, which also starred Avika Gor. His upcoming projects include SI Yugandhar, an ETV Original film that is yet to have a streaming date.
