Siddu Jonnalagadda’s Telusu Kada has lit up Diwali discussions across social media, with audiences on X (formerly Twitter) sharing everything from heart emojis to head shakes. The romantic drama, marking stylist Neeraja Kona’s directorial debut, takes a modern approach to love and loyalty, exploring the messy emotional overlaps of contemporary relationships.

Early reactions suggest that younger audiences are vibing with Telusu Kada’s fresh tone and Siddh’s effortlessly magnetic performance. “A fresh breeze of emotions and reality. Siddu acting solid. Rashi–Srinidhi chemistry tho scenes superga work ayyayi Music vibe ayipoyindi,” posted one user, while another wrote, “Theatre vibes on another level. Siddu, Rashi, Srinidhi acting + Thaman BGM = full entertainment.” The film’s blend of humour, longing, and heartache seems to have struck a chord with urban youth, who praised its Gen-Z sensibilities and stylish presentation.

However, not everyone is raising a toast. Some viewers found Telusu Kada’s “Western-style” relationship dynamics too far removed from cultural reality. “Not for everyone. I personally didn’t like it. Western-style relationships don’t fit in Indian society,” wrote one critic on X. Others took aim at the pacing and uneven narration, calling it “flashy and glitzy but hollow in parts.” Still, even detractors admitted Siddh’s charm held the film together, with several calling him the “sole reason to stay hooked.”

Raashii Khanna and Srinidhi Shetty have also been lauded for their chemistry, bringing warmth and nuance to what could have easily been a predictable love triangle. Director Neeraja Kona has drawn praise for tackling a bold subject with sensitivity, a notable shift from her background as a stylist. “Didn’t seem like a debut at all, kudos to Neeraja Kona for taking this risk,” one viewer wrote.

Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under People Media Factory, Telusu Kada’s technical crew has Gnana Shekar VS on cinematography and Thaman S on music. The film released on October 17 has to face competition with Kiran Abbavaram’s K Ramp and Priyadarshi’s Mithra Mandali.
