The Mad universe just got bigger and crazier. Mad Cube (Mad 3), the third instalment in the youth comedy franchise produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, with Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya at the helm. Director Kalyan Shankar helmed both the parts.

Vishnu Oi, who became the breakout star of Mad, casually dropped the news while promoting his upcoming film Mithra Mandali. “The shoot for Mad 3 has already begun,” he confirmed, adding that an official announcement and first-look update are coming soon.

The Mad series, which began with the sleeper hit Mad starring Narne Nithiin, Ram Nithin, and Sangeeth Sobhan, became a cult favourite among college movie lovers. With its unapologetically chaotic humour and relatable campus camaraderie, the film turned into a surprise box office success, outperforming expectations.

Its sequel, Mad Square, carried forward the comedic tone and while reviews were mixed, the film still managed to rake in solid numbers. Vishnu Oi, in particular, emerged as the surprise package, with his comic timing and easy charm drawing plenty of attention.

Now, the makers are levelling up with Mad Cube, rumoured to be the final part of the trilogy. Early industry reports suggest the film will feature the returning leads along with a few new faces and is being planned for a Summer 2026 release.
