Youtuber-turned-actor Mouli Tanuj is busy promoting his upcoming youthful comedy drama, Little Hearts, which marks his first mainstream project as lead. He gained attention with the ETVWin series, #90s - A MiddleClass Biopic.
In a latest interview Mouli gave to Gulte, he revealed that he was approached for the role of Laddoo in MAD (2023), directed by Kalyan Shankar, starring Sangeeth Shobhan, Ram Nithin and Narne Nithiin. Laddo was a hilarious character, played by Vishnu Oi, who gained immense applause from audiences.
“Kalyan Shankar anna didn’t even audition me and approach for MAD. But I was working on my script and in a different phase. I was planning to shift to writing and sideline acting. Acting wasn’t my main goal then. Because of my mindset then, I decided not do the role,” Mouli revealed.
Little Hearts, directed by Sai Marthand, stars Mouli Tanuj and Shivani Nagaram in the lead. Mouli plays Akhil, a college last-bencher and chronic underachiever constantly at odds with his father (Rajeev Kanakala). Shivani, who recently made an impression with Ambajipeta Marriage Band, plays another under-achiever. Both these relatable characters seem to grow close to each other during their time in a training institute. The film promises many quirky moments with hysterical characters.
Little Hearts’ The supporting cast includes Rajeev Kanakala, SS Kanchi, Anita Chowdhary, and Satya Krishnan. The technical team features Surya Balaji on cinematography, Sridhar Sompalli doing editing and Divya Pawan handling art direction.
