Nandamuri Balakrishna is on a dream run at the box office, and his next project is shaping up to be one of the biggest films of his career yet. Titled #NBK111, the highly anticipated historical epic will be formally launched with a grand ceremony on October 24, the makers confirmed on Vijayadashami.

#NBK111 marks Balayya’s second outing with director Gopichand Malineni after their 2023 blockbuster Veera Simha Reddy. This time, the successful duo are said to be heading into new territory, with Malineni taking on a historical drama for the very first time. Known for his high-voltage entertainers, the director is set to fuse his commercial flair with a sweeping period narrative that promises action, emotion and Balayya in an all-new larger-than-life avatar.

Backed by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner, #NBK111 is being mounted on a big scale. Kilaru is also producing the pan-India biggie Peddi. While the core team has been locked, details of the supporting cast and technical crew are still under wraps. 

The makers are expected to unveil more names in the coming weeks, once the film moves out of pre-production. Meanwhile, Nandamuri Balakrishna is gearing for Boyapati Srinu’s Akhanda 2 which is storming screens on December 5.
