Sharwanand’s Biker release date postponed?

Sharwanand plays a biker in his upcoming sports drama, which also stars Malavika Nair

Sharwanand, known for balancing commercial and content-driven films, has not had big box-office success with some of his recent releases. He is now pinning high hopes on his upcoming films Biker and Nari Nari Naduma Murari. Both films are ready, with Biker set to release first. and according to a source, the film revolves around an emotional father–son relationship.

Produced by UV Creations, the film was initially planned for release on December 6, and a press meet was expected to be held. However, it was later cancelled. The source revealed that since Akhanda 2 is releasing on December 5, the makers of Biker are now contemplating postponing their film’s release to avoid any clash. In terms of promotions, only one teaser and a song each have been released so far.

The new release date in consideration is December 12, or maybe a week later, on December 19, which has no big Telugu film so far. The source also revealed that the makers have sold the film to an OTT platform, and the final theatrical release date will be aligned with the OTT schedule. 

Written & Directed by Abhilash Reddy Kankara, Biker promises to tell a story about two generations, while playing out against a backdrop of the world of bike-racing. The film promises to show Sharwanand in a completely transformed avatar as a young bike-racing professional. The film is produced by Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramodh Uppalapati under UV Creations.

Malavika Nair plays the female lead in the film, while Rajasekhar plays a crucial role as Sharwanand’s father. VS Bharadwaj and Shrawan Madala are credited as writers. Stunts are by Dhilip Subbarayan. J Yuvraj is the cinematographer, and Anil Pasala is the editor. A Panneer Selvam is the art director, and Rajeevan is the production designer.
