A few days ago, the makers of Biker unveiled their film’s first glimpse, surprising the audience by showcasing Sharwanand in a completely transformed avatar as a young bike-racing professional. On Thursday, the makers unveiled the first single of their film.
Composed by Ghibran, ‘Pretty Baby’ is an interesting mix of local vibe and sensibilities fused with a western sound. Ghibran has also served as the playback singer, alongwith Yazin Nizar and Sublahshini. Krishna Kanth has penned the lyrics.
The ‘Pretty Baby’ music video has impressive production values, and is shot with an eye-catchy color palette, further aided by the easy-going dance moves by both Sharwanand and Malvika Nair, who plays the female lead in Biker. This is the first time Sharwanand and Malvika Nair are working together in a film. Sharwanand was last seen in Manamey, while Malvika Nair’s previous on-screen appearance was a cameo appearance in Kalki 2898 AD, which incidentally released the same month as Manamey. Sekhar VJ has choreographed the song video.
Written & Directed by Abhilash Reddy Kankara, Biker promises to tell a story about two generations, while playing out against a backdrop of the world of bike-racing. Abhilash Reddy Kankara is the writer-director for the film. MVS Bharadwaj and Shrawan Madala are credited as writers. Stunts are by Dhilip Subbarayan. J Yuvraj is the cinematographer, and Anil Pasala is the editor. A Panneer Selvam is the art director, and Rajeevan is the production designer.
Produced by Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramodh Uppalapati under UV Creations, Biker is set to arrive in theatres on December 6, a day after Balakrishna-starrer Akhanda 2 releases.
