Sasivadane gets OTT premiere date

The Komalee Prasad-Rakshit Atluri starrer had a theatrical release in October

Sasivadane, the romantic drama starring Komalee Prasad and Rakshit Atluri in lead roles, now has an OTT premiere date. The film, whose streaming rights have been acquired by Sun Nxt, will begin streaming on November 28. The streamer made the announcement on Sunday. 

Sasivadane, which had a theatrical release on October 10, told the story of Raghava and Sasi, a young couple in a small town who want to start a new life together, but their humble dreams are thwarted by Sasi’s brother-in-law who wants to marry her. How their struggles to overcome their barriers sends Raghava a path of no return, and whether the two ever manage to start afresh forms the crux of the story. 

Written and directed by Sai Mohan Ubbana, Sasivadane featured actors like  Sriman, Rangasthalam Mahesh, Jabardasth Bobby, Praveen Yandamuri, and Deepak Prince in key roles. Shot in the postcard-perfect landscapes of Konaseema and Amalapuram, the film had Cinematography is by Shrie Sai Kumaar Daara. Other key members in technical team include editor Garry BH, and production designer JD. The music by Saravana Vasudevan and background score by Anudeep Dev.

Produced by Ahiteja Bellamkonda and Abhilash Reddy Godala under AG Film Company and SVS Studios, the film is presented by Gauri Naidu, who doubles as the costume designer. Sasivadane, despite being completed a long time ago, could not be released earlier because of theatrical distribution issues. 

Made on a small budget, Sasivadane struggle to find takers at the box office after opening to middling, lukeram reviews from critics.
