The official trailer of Ram Pothineni starrer Andhra King Taluka was unveiled earlier this evening at a grand ceremony in Hyderabad. The upcoming coming-of-age drama is directed by Mahesh Babu P, who previously directed Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty.

In Andhra King Taluka, Ram plays Sagar, an ordinary middle-class boy whose biggest achievement in life is being a great fan of his favourite star (Upendra), for whom he can do anything. He wears his fandom on his sleeves. However, there comes a point when Sagar is faced with existential crisis and is reminded of his trivial life when his fandom is kept aside.

How Sagar decides to turn the tables and channel the humiliation into doing something far more herculean, all in the service of his favourite star who now probably needs him and people like him right now more than ever before. 

Bhagyashri Borse plays Sagar’s love interest who consistently reminds him of his capabilities and strengths, even as he struggles to find a direction. Actors like Vennela Kishore and Rahul Ramakrishna play prominent roles in the film. The film also has prominent technicians like editor Sreekar Prasad, production designer Avinash Kolla and cinematographer Siddharth Nuni on board. Mythri Movie Makers is producing the film that has music by Vivek-Mervin.

Two days ago, the Andhra King Taluka team surprised all film-goers by preponing their release by a day, now arriving in theatres on November 27 instead of November 28. 

Ram Pothineni was last seen in the 2024 action-entertainer Double iSmart. Meanwhile, Bhagyashri Borse recently had a big release with the Tamil thriller-drama Kaantha.
