Ram Pothineni, who was last seen in the action-entertainer Double iSmart, will appear in a complete different avatar in his upcoming project Andhra King Taluka, playing a wide-eyed fanboy of a superstar. On Wednesday, the makers unveiled the new single from their film that perfectly captures its themes.

Titled ‘First Day First Show,’ the song is a boisterous and unfiltered celebration of what it means to be an ardent fanboy of a Telugu superstar. Ram Pothineni is energetic and endearing at once, looking every inch the fanboy that he plays. The number is embellished with very limited lyrics, and drives primarily on its joyous vibe. Vivek-Mervin are the composer duo for the film. Dinesh Kakkerla has penned the lyrics, while the chorus is endearingly credited as Andhra King Taluka fans.

The music video also has a certain natural vibrance to its imagery, doing great justice to its realistic set-up and concept. One can also see Rahul Ramakrishna in the colorful music video, that is choreographed by Sekhar VJ.

This is the fourth single to be released by the makers. Two of the previous singles — ‘Nuvvunte Chaley’ and ‘Chinni Gundelo’ have achieved immense popularity among music lovers, collectively garnering over 50 million views on YouTube.

Directed by Mahesh Babu P, who made his debut two years ago with Mrs Shetty Mr Polishetty, Andhra King Taluka also stars Upendra in a special appearance and Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead. The film is produced under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers.

While Siddharth Nuni is the cinematographer, George C Williams is credited with additional photography. The film also has veterans like editor Sreekar Prasad and production designer Avinash Kolla onboard.

Slated to arrive in theatres on November 28, Andhra King Taluka is the only major Telugu release scheduled for that week.
