Ram Pothineni is gearing up for his next big release Andhra King Taluka. The film was earlier scheduled for November 28 release. However, on Sunday, the makers made a surprising announcement by sharing that the film will now arrive in theatres a day sooner.

The decision is surprising because the film had no other competition among Telugu films even if it released on November 28. This call to release on a Thursday only establishes the makers’ confidence in their product, where a strong word–of-mouth response will enable the film to have greater business on its first extended weekend.

Andhra King Taluka is directed by Mahesh Babu P, and promises to be a novel coming-of-age drama about a fanboy who worships his favourite movie star, played by Upendra. The film also features Bhagyashri Borse, who recently had a big release with Kaantha. The supporting cast includes Rahul Ramakrishna and Murali Sharma.

Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, the film has music by composer duo Vivek-Mervin. The film’s soundtrack has become extremely popular, especially with songs like ‘Nuvvunte Chale’ and ‘Chinni Gundelo.’ The former was sung by Anirudh.

In the technical team, Sreekar Prasad helms editing and Siddharth Nuni is the cinematographer. Avinash Kolla is the production designer.

Mahesh Babu P made his directorial debut two years ago with Mrs Shetty Mr Polishetty.
