Dulquer Salmaan remains one of the few non-Telugu actors who is consistently headlining Telugu films. After Mahanati, he appeared in Sita Ramam, Kalki 2898 AD, and Lucky Baskhar. Now, with Kaantha gearing up for release this Friday, the actor has already signed two more Telugu projects that are currently under production.

In a recent media interaction, Dulquer shared that he moved to Chennai to better manage his professional commitments. “I’m doing both Tamil and Telugu films now, so Chennai makes it convenient for me to travel for shoots. It’s also easy to reach Hyderabad whenever required,” he explained.

When asked whether he plans to move to Hyderabad, given his growing involvement in Telugu cinema, Dulquer smiled and replied, “No, not right now. My daughter is studying in Chennai, so I can’t move at the moment.”

On the occasion, sharing a humorous anecdote about his accommodation in Hyderabad, Dulquer recalled, “My wife always tells me to stay in hotels when I’m shooting here. She feels that if I buy a house, I might end up staying longer even after work.”

Kaantha, his upcoming film, is a period drama set in a fictional world. Bhagyashri Borse plays the female lead, while Samuthirakani and Rana Daggubati appear in key roles. The film is directed by Selvaraj and produced by Rana Daggubati, and will have a wide-scale release in Telugu speaking states as well.
