The makers of the Vishnu Manchu’s period fantasy film Kannappa have released a new single titled ‘Sri Kala Hasti,’ on Wednesday. The devotional track is performed by Vishnu’s daughters, Ariaana and Viviana Manchu. The song, composed by Stephen Devassy, blends spirituality with emotion, aiming to narrate the legacy of the temple town Sri Kala Hasti. The lyrics are penned by Suddala Ashok Teja.

In the song from Kannappa, Ariaana and Viviana not only lend their voices but also appear on screen. Their performance, coupled with scenic visuals, gives the track an aesthetic and innocent quality.

Vishnu Manchu, who also serves as the screenwriter for the film, launched the song on social media, writing, “Here is the song on the history of SriKalaHasti. My little Ari and Vivi sang and performed for the song. I cannot thank the Composer Stephen and choreographer Brunda Master for bringing to life the story of the Vayu Linga. Launched it in the Holy Shrine of Kasi Viswanath Jyothirlinga. Need all your blessings.”

Kannappa, directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, is based on the life of a devotee of Lord Shiva. Vishnu Manchu plays the titular role, with a cast that includes Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Sarath Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal and a cameo by Prabhas as Rudra. The film is produced by Mohan Babu under the banners of 24 Frames Factory and AVA Entertainments.

Kannappa which is coming to screens on June 27, was previously postponed due to post-production delays. Recently, the team also reported a case involving the alleged theft of key footage, stating that the identity of the perpetrator is known and police action is underway.
