At the pre-release event of Bhairavam on Sunday, Manchu Manoj unintentionally disclosed Silambarasan TR’s personal phone number to the public. During a live interaction hosted by anchor Suma, Manoj attempted to call his friend Simbu to engage with fans. However, while holding his phone towards the audience, Simbu’s contact information was captured by the cameras.

Realising the mistake, Manoj promptly addressed the situation, saying, “Machan, sorry your number was slightly visible to the cameras; I will try to cut it out, and I will also get you a new SIM card.” Simbu responded with surprise, exclaiming, “Achacho!”

Despite the mishap, the conversation continued on a positive note. Manoj expressed his admiration for Simbu’s upcoming film Thug Life, stating, “You look fantastic with Kamal sir. I am so jealous. I am so happy to see two brilliant actors together on one screen.” Simbu reciprocated the sentiment, wishing the Bhairavam team success and praising their efforts.

In a light-hearted exchange, Manoj jokingly requested Rs 10,000 via UPI, to which Simbu replied, “I want to tell one thing about Manoj. He is like a small kid; if you show him love, he will show you too much love, but if you show him anger, then it is a problem. So, it is better to show love and be on the right side. He’s such a lovely person, and I am very proud and happy to have such a friend.”

Following the incident, reports emerged that Simbu’s team promptly changed his mobile number to ensure privacy.

Bhairavam, featuring Manchu Manoj, Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, Nara Rohith, and Aditi Shankar, is directed by Vijay Kanakamedala and is scheduled for release on May 30. Meanwhile, Simbu’s Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam and co-starring Kamal Haasan, is set to hit theatres on June 5.
