Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur will soon be seen sharing screen in Dacoit. On Friday, the makers announced the release date for the film’s first glimpse.

Directed by debutant Shaneil Deo, the first glimpse of Dacoit will be released on Monday, May 26. Shaneil Deo has previously worked as a cinematographer on acclaimed films like Krishna and His Leela and Goodachari, the latter of which starred Adivi Sesh in the lead. Sesh and Shaneil have also co-written the script.

A few days ago, the makers confirmed Anurag Kashyap joining the film’s cast. Initially, Shruti Haasan was signed as the female lead opposite Sesh, with the makers even releasing a brief teaser featuring the lead pair.  Bheems Ceciroleo has been signed to compose music for the film. 

Supriya Yarlagadda is producing the film. While a release date for the film is yet to be announced, the makers are planning to release Dacoit in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada as well. 

Both Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur haven’t had a major Telugu film release in more than a year. While Sesh was recently seen in a cameo appearance in HIT 3, Mrunal Thakur had made a special appearance in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD, which released last year. 

Adivi Sesh’s upcoming projects include G2, the sequel to his 2018 film Goodachari.
