Actor Sreeleela has clarified that the baby girl featured in her recent social media post is her niece, following a week of media reports that she had adopted a child.

A week ago, Sreeleela shared a photo of herself holding a baby, captioning it as a new addition to the family. This led to widespread speculation that the actor had adopted the child, particularly given her known history of working with children. In 2022, she adopted two differently-abled children, Guru and Shobhitha, and has been involved in caring for children in need.

As she did not initially mention the baby’s identity or relationship to her, many assumed she had adopted the girl. On Saturday, Sreeleela posted a video of herself cuddling the same baby and wrote, “When it is your sister’s daughter and she is filled with aunt’s tantrums. She’s my niece, guys!”

On the work front, Sreeleela is currently filming for Karthik Aryan’s untitled film and also has Ravi Teja’s Mass Jathara slated for release soon.
