The makers of Shashtipoorthi released their new single, titled ‘Yedho Yejanmalodo,’ on Tuesday. The music for the film has been composed by legendary music director Ilaiyaraaja.

What also makes the song further special is that Academy Award winner MM Keeravani has penned the lyrics for the Ilaiyaraaja composition . Rendered by Ananya Bhat, ‘Yedho Yejanmalodo’ is a soft romantic number rich in melody, and carrying a layer of melancholy under its sweet tune. The song also stands out for its layered verses. Is it to be noted that this is the first time Ilaiyaraaja and MM Keeravani have worked together on an album.

Written and directed by Pavan Prabha, Shashtipoorthi features Aakanksha Singh, Rajendra Prasad, Archana and Rupeysh in the lead cast. Rupeysh is also producing the film under the banner of Maa Aaie Productions. The supporting cast of the film includes Ananda Chakrapani, Prabhas Sreenu, Muralidhar Goud, Jabardasth Ram, Mahi Reddy, and Sanjay Swarup among others.

The technical team of Shashtipoorthi too boasts of prominent names like Thota Tharani and Karthika Srinivas, who helm art direction and editing respectively. Raam is the cinematographer.

Rajendra Prasad, meanwhile, has another release coming up with the Nithiin-Sreeleela starrer Robinhood, where he plays a significant role. Aakanksha Singh was last seen in the web series Bench Life, which released in September last year.
