Nani, who recently scored a big hit as a producer with Court, is coming up with his next release as a lead, Hit 3. The first single of the film, ‘Prema Velluva,’ was unveiled on Monday.

Penned by Krishna Kanth, ‘Prema Velluva’ is a melodious romantic number, rousing in its composition with a beautiful use of strings section. Sid Sriram, accompanied by Nutana Mohan, brings his quintessential intensity to the number. Mickey J Meyer, who last composed score for Ravi Teja-starrer Mr Bachchan, is the music director for Hit 3. Vishwa Raghu has choreographed the song video in a naturalistic style, capturing the romance between the film’s lead (played by Nani and Srinidhi Shetty).

Hit 3 is is the third instalment in the Hit franchise. While Vishwak Sen and Adivi Sesh headlined the first two parts, the second part (titled Hit: The 2nd case), introduced Nani’s character Arjun Sarkaar, towards the end, as a ferocious, violent police officer who is a defiant rulebreaker by nature.

Sailesh Kolanu is the writer-director for the film that’s produced by Prashanti Tipirneni under Wall Poster Cinema banner in collaboration with Unanimous Productions. The cinematography is by Sanu John Varghese, and Karthika Srinivas helms the editing. 

Hit 3 is scheduled for release in theatres on May 1.
