The makers of the 2007 Vishnu Manchu-Genelia starrer Dhee have announced the re-release date for their film on Saturday. It will hit theatres again on March 28.

Vishnu Manchu also shared the update on his X page. In Dhee, Vishnu played Babloo, a happy-go-lucky man who falls in love with Pooja (Genelia), sister of the local mafia goon Shankar who he works for. The action comedy also featured Brahmanandam, Sunil and Srihari in the supporting cast.

Directed by Sreenu Vaitla, Dhee emerged as the first commercial success for Vishnu after a string of failures. The film was later remade in Odia, Tamil, and Bengali. The film went on to win 2 Nandi awards, for Best Screenplay and Best Action respectively. Dhee also remains one of the few films for which Nani worked as an assistant director before he became an actor.

Meanwhile, Vishnu Manchu is gearing up for the release of his big-scale fantasy drama Kannappa, that will release on April 25 this year.
