After hours of speculation about singer Kalpana Raghavender’s alleged suicide attempt, her daughter cleared the air and said that it was not a case of self-harm but slight overdose of sleeping pills. “My mother is facing no issue. She is perfectly fine and healthy. She is doing LLB and PhD. She has insomnia. She consumed the sleeping pills, and it was a slight overdose. It is not a suicide attempt. We are all happy. I request everyone not to manipulate everything. This is not a suicide attempt but just a slight overdose,” she stated.

Kalpana Raghavendar has been admitted to Holistic Hospital in Nizampet, Hyderabad, and authorities have confirmed that her health is now stable.

As per reports, Kalpana had not been responding for two days, prompting security personnel at her apartment complex to inform the residents’ association. When neighbours were unable to reach her by phone, they alerted the police. Officers arrived at the scene and forcefully entered her home, where they found her unresponsive. She was immediately rushed to the hospital and is now receiving treatment with ventilator support.
