Y Ravi Shankar, the co-producer of the upcoming Nithiin-Sreeleela starrer Robinhood, directed by Venky Kudumula, shared a major update about their film at the pre-release event for Kingston on Monday. Addressing the audience, Y Ravi Shankar stated, “We have roped in famous Australian cricketer David Warner for a small cameo in Robinhood. I am revealing this without permission from our director Venky. It’s a small role, but very exciting. Warner will make his Indian cinema debut with this, and we are glad to be the ones producing it.” A few days ago, some photographs of Warner on a movie set were leaked online, where the cricketer could be seen donning a bright, colorful costume.

Produced under the Mythri Movie Makers banner, Robinhood is slated for a theatrical release on March 28, clashing against much-anticipated films like MAD Square and Hari Hara Veera Mallu. The film also features veteran actor Rajendra Prasad in an important role.

GV Prakash Kumar has composed music for the film. The makers had released the second single of their film, ‘Wherever You Go,’ on Valentine’s Day.

The film reunites Nithiin and Sreeleela after their collaboration on the 2023 film Extraordinary Man.
