The makers of Kannappa released the second teaser of their film on Saturday. The upcoming fantasy drama stars Vishnu Manchu in the lead role, who has also penned the story and screenplay.

The Kannappa teaser establishes all the primary characters of the universe, with Vishnu Manchu playing the titular Kannappa, a staunch devotee of Lord Shiva who has vowed to protect his tribe against a rival tribe, while also proving his piety towards Lord Shiva. While Akshay Kumar plays Shiva, Kajal Aggarwal will be seen as Parvati. The teaser also gives a brief glimpse of Prabhas.

The ensemble cast of Kannappa includes Mohanlal, Mukesh Rishi, Madhoo, Preity Mukundhan, and Mohan Babu, among others. Mukesh Singh helms the direction, while the film is bankrolled jointly under the banners of 24 Frames Factory & AVA Entertainment. The makers have also released the said teaser in Tamil and Hindi. 

The film boasts of international technicians like Sheldon Chau, who helms the cinematography and Kecha Khamphakdee who has choreographed the stunts and war sequences. Additionally, Stephen Devassy has composed the music and Anthony Gonsalvez is the editor.

Kannappa will hit theatres on April 25 this year.
