Sreeleela is reportedly no longer part of Lenin, the upcoming romantic actioner starring Akhil Akkineni. The production team has begun the search for a new female lead, although no formal announcement has been made by the makers. Initial reports suggest that scheduling conflicts may have prompted Sreeleela’s departure from the project.

Directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, Lenin marks a significant shift in Akhil Akkineni’s screen image, as he plays a rugged, rural character in this romantic action drama set in Rayalaseema. The film’s title teaser, released earlier on Akhil’s birthday, teases a gritty presentation of a love story. The film is said to deal with the issue of honour killings.

Lenin is jointly produced by Sithara Entertainments and Annapurna Studios. The film features music by S Thaman, cinematography by Naveen Kumar, and editing by Navin Nooli. The film’s production design is handled by Avinash Kolla. As of now, Lenin remains in production, with its release date yet to be announced.
