Reports suggest that Allu Arjun is set to collaborate with Malayalam actor-director Basil Joseph for a new film. While there is no official confirmation yet, sources indicate that the film is likely to be backed by Geetha Arts and is currently in early pre-production stages.

Basil Joseph rose to national prominence with Minnal Murali (2021), a Malayalam-language superhero film that was widely appreciated for its grounded storytelling and creative direction. He previously directed Kunjiramayanam and Godha, and has since been active as an actor. If confirmed, this would mark his Telugu directorial debut.

According to many industry reports, Basil met Allu Arjun in February and narrated a script that reportedly caught the actor’s interest. The proposed collaboration has generated curiosity among fans, who are eager to see how Joseph’s storytelling sensibility aligns with Arjun’s screen presence. Many fans are predicting that Allu Arjun might have been approached to be a part of the Minnal Murali superhero universe.

This development comes after Allu Arjun’s earlier collaboration with director Trivikram Srinivas on a mythological project has reportedly been put on hold. That film is now confirmed to be made with Jr NTR in the lead.

On the other hand, Allu Arjun is headlining director Atlee’s next project, tentatively titled AA22xA6, alongside Deepika Padukone. The film is said to have started shooting and will reportedly feature Arjun in multiple roles. An official announcement on the Basil Joseph project is expected in the coming months.
