Sasivadane, the Rakshit Atluri-Komalee Prasad starrer romantic drama, which was slated for a theatrical release last year, was unceremoniously postponed without any official update from the makers. More than a year later, producer Ahiteja Bellamkonda has issued a statement about the delays, adding that the film is back on track for a release.
Taking to his X page, Ahiteja penned a long note, issuing clarification about the delay in Sasivadane’s release. He stated, “As many of you know, we had planned to release Sasivadane on April 19th, 2024. However, just a week before the release, due to unavoidable circumstances and external factors beyond our control, we had to put everything on hold.”
While he did not specify details about the circumstances that led to his film being stalled, Ahiteja noted, “The last year was the most difficult phase of my life. For the first time in my 5-year journey in this industry, I truly wished that I had a godfather in this industry. I've learnt a lot during this phase about whom to trust and whom not to.”
Ahiteja also confirmed that the issues have been resolved and that the team is ready to restart working on the film’s release plans, stating, “I will be starting the promotions of Sasivadane very soon. We've introduced many young Telugu technicians and actors through this film.” He also added, "Content was delayed, but the content is a blockbuster." The producer concluded his statement with an optimistic note that he will continue to make films, no matter what.
Ahiteja is bankrolling the film under his banner, AG Film Company. Saimohan Ubbana is the writer-director for Sasivadane. The supporting cast includes actors like Rangasthalam Mahesh, Sriman, Jabardasth Bobby, Praveen Yandamuri, and Deepak Prince. The music has been composed by Saravana Vasudevan, and the cinematography is by Shrie SaiKumaar Daara.
