After multiple delays, the makers of Kannappa had finally set June 27 as the release date for their film. However, troubles arose for the team once again, a few weeks before the film’s release, as a hard drive containing Kannappa footage has reportedly gone missing.
According to many reports, a hard drive containing many crucial scenes from Kannappa was delivered to a an office boy named Raghu at Kannappa’s production house in Hyderabad, by a Mumbai-based VFX company. However, Raghu reportedly handed the courier to an employee named Charitha, and both of them are missing since, with the said hard drive nowhere to be found.
Kannappa’s executive producer Reddy Vijay Kumar has reportedly filed a police complaint for the same, and an investigation is currently underway. It remains to be seen whether these new developments will cause any dent in the makers’ release plans.
Produced by Mohan Babu and directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, Kannappa stars Vishnu Manchu in the lead role and many big stars like Akshay Kumar, Prabhas, and Mohanlal in extended cameos.
