Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 2004 film Lakshmi Narasimha is set for a theatrical re-release on June 8, this time in a digitally remastered 4K format. The re-release is set to include a new song titled ‘Mandesinodu,’ composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, with lyrics by Oscar-winning lyricist Chandrabose.

Speaking at the press meet on Thursday, producer Bellamkonda Suresh said, “If I am bringing back this film after 21 years, I wanted to offer something special to Balayya’s fans. We recovered visuals of a previously shot but unused song. Though the audio was missing, we recreated the entire track from scratch.”

Director Jayanth Paranji praised the effort, calling it a ‘miracle.’ He added, “Creating a song from an existing visual without original audio is extremely rare, especially for a high-energy track.” Lyricist Chandrabose called the process a ‘strange feat’ in his 31-year journey, adding that “every lip and step had to be decoded and matched to new lyrics.”

Originally released in 2004, Lakshmi Narasimha is a remake of the Tamil hit Saamy. The film stars Balakrishna as a fierce and upright police officer who confronts a corrupt local don. It was known for its strong action sequences with music composed by Mani Sharma, and cinematography by Sekhar V Joseph.

The re-release coincides with Balakrishna’s birthday, and the new song is being promoted as a major highlight. Meanwhile, the actor is currently shooting Akhanda 2, directed by Boyapati Srinu, which is gearing up for release this year.
