As we reported earlier about this news, the makers of OG have announced that the film’s first single, titled ‘First Blast’, will be released on August 2. The announcement came on Thursday along with a striking poster featuring Pawan Kalyan’s intense gaze, layered with cryptic symbols that fans are already dissecting, from Japanese martial arts references to old-school gangster VHS aesthetics.
The song, composed by SS Thaman and sung by Tamil actor Silambarasan TR (Simbu), is expected to kick off full-fledged promotions for the film. The track’s release was delayed earlier to avoid overlap with Hari Hara Veera Mallu promotions, but with that film’s run concluded, the team is now shifting focus entirely to OG.
Directed by Sujeeth, OG stars Pawan Kalyan in the role of Ojas Gambheera, a gangster who emerges from exile to return to Mumbai on a critical mission. The film also features Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead and Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist, alongside Sriya Reddy, Arjun Das, Prakash Raj, and Harish Uthaman in key roles.
The movie, which has been delayed several times owing to Pawan Kalyan’s political commitments, is now slated for release on September 25 during Dussehra, clashing with Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2. It is being produced by DVV Danayya under DVV Entertainment.
OG has music by SS Thaman, cinematography by Ravi K Chandran and Manoj Paramahamsa, and production design by A S Prakash. The film first drew attention with its teaser, "Hungry Cheetah”, released on Pawan Kalyan’s birthday last year, which continues to trend on social media.
