The makers of Ustaad Bhagat Singh have revealed that the film has wrapped its climax shoot, with lead Pawan Kalyan completing his portions despite his ongoing political commitments. Sharing the update on social media, the production team stated, “An electrifying climax high on emotions and action was wrapped up under the supervision of #NabaKanta master.”
They added, “Despite his cabinet meetings and responsibilities as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, and while attending Hari Hara Veera Mallu presentations, Power Star Pawan Kalyan gaaru completed the shoot swiftly. This is a testament of his dedication and hardworking nature.” A new still from the sets accompanied the announcement.
Directed by Harish Shankar, Ustaad Bhagat Singh stars Sreeleela in the female lead role, with Raashii Khanna recently joining the cast. The film marks a reunion between Kalyan and Harish Shankar after their 2012 hit Gabbar Singh. Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, the project has been in production alongside Kalyan’s other ongoing commitments, including his recent release Hari Hara Veera Mallu and Sujeeth’s OG.
During promotions for HHVM, Kalyan had mentioned that his portions for Ustaad Bhagat Singh would be completed by the end of July, aligning with the current progress. The climax sequence is said to feature high-stakes action with emotional elements, choreographed by stunt coordinator Naba Kanta.
Initially announced as a remake of Vijay's Tamil film Theri, the film’s script was later reworked into an original narrative by Harish Shankar. Kalyan plays a police officer in the film, which features music composed by Devi Sri Prasad, cinematography by Ayananka Bose, editing by Ujjwal Kulkarni, and production design by Anand Sai.
With its climax wrapped, the film now moves into post-production, and further updates on its release date are awaited.
