Bollywood stalwart Sanjay Dutt, who was last seen in Housefull 5, is part of the much-anticipated Prabhas starrer horror-comedy The Raja Saab. The makers unveiled a character poster for Sanjay Dutt on Tuesday, which also marks the Munnabhai MBBS actor’s birthday.

The poster features Sanjay Dutt sporting his long, dishevelled grey hair, and his quintessential broody gaze as if immersed in the middle of concocting an evil scheme. “Get ready to witness a terrifying presence that will shake you to the core,” the makers posted on their official handle along with the poster.

The teaser, which was released earlier in June, also gave a brief glimpse of Sanjay Dutt’s role in the film, which appears to be that of a former king haunting an old palace which he refuses to leave.

Directed by Maruthi, The Raja Saab promises to be a breath of fresh air for Prabhas, who will be seen in a light-hearted avatar while exploring elements of mystery and horror. The film is produced under the banner of People Media Factory.

Malavika Mohanann and Niddhi Agerwal play the female leads in the film, while prominent actors are Satya, Sapthagiri, VTV Ganesh, and Prabhas Seenu will be seen in supporting roles. Thaman S is composing music for the film.

The film’s technical team has cinematographer Karthik Palani, production designer Rajeevan, and editor Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao, with the production in its final stages. The makers are reportedly working extensively on post-production and visual effects.

Sanjay Dutt also played a major role in Ram Pothineni starrer Double iSmart, which released in August last year. The veteran actor is also reportedly a part of upcoming Balakrishna starrer Akhanda 2.
