The pre-release event for Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom was held on Monday. On the occasion, Anirudh surprised the audience with his live performance of the single ‘Ragile Ragile,’ which was earlier heard briefly in the film’s trailer. Now the makers have released the complete studio version of the same.

Sung by Siddharth Basrur, ‘Ragile Ragila’ carried the trademark Anirudh sound, embellished with thumping purcussions and a rousing tune that underscores the protagonist’s triumph. Krishna Kanth has penned the lyrics for the song.

Kingdom marks the first Vijay Deverakonda film for which Anirudh has composed music. At the pre-release event, Vijay said about Anirudh, “I am confidently telling you that Anirudh has killed it with his music in this film. When I first heard his music, I had a desire that he works on my films someday. I know the life he puts into the film.”

The previous two singles of the film — ‘Hridayam Lopala’ and ‘Anna Antene’, have collectively garnered over 20 million hits on YouTube.

Kingdom is written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, whose previously film Jersey has achieved a king of modern classic status in Telugu cinema. Also starring Bhagyashri Borse and Satya Dev, the film is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas and is presented by Srikara Studios. The recently released trailer also introduced Venkitesh as part of the supporting cast.

The cinematography is by Jomon T John and Girish Gangadharan, while the editing by Navin Nooli. Production design is handled by Avinash Kolla.

The film has received a U/A certificate from the censor board. Besides its release in other south Indian languages, Kingdom will also have a release in Hindi belt under the title ‘Saamrajya.’
