After garnering impressive figures at the boxoffice on day 1, Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu took a giant fall on second day at the box office.

The film collected Rs 8.8 crores (nett) at domestic boxoffice on Saturday, according to a report from boxoffice tracker Sacnilk.com.  The drop is nearly 75 percent from the film’s collections on Friday.

The fall in collections do not come as a surprise however, considering the lukewarm word-of-mouth reactions from the audience across the board, beginning right after the premiere shows on Wednesday. In our review for the film, we noted, "At almost 170 minutes, the film doesn’t just test your patience, it slowly chloroforms it. The film squeezes your patience out ounce by ounce, until you give up and practice the beauty of sitting still."

Sacnilk.com also reports that the film’s domestic collections on day 3 (Saturday) stand at nearly Rs 3 crore, as of yet, and its gross worldwide figures approximately at Rs 78 crore. With it’s theatrical rights reportedly being sold at Rs 126 crore, the film needs to gross nearly 250 crores to be considered a profitable venture for the distributors.

Produced by A Dayakar Rao under Mega Surya Production and presented by AM Rathnam, Hari Hara Veera Mallu also released in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam markets. Directed by Jyothi Krisna, with additional direction by Krish Jagarlamudi, the film is set in the 17th-century Mughal era. It follows the story of Veera Mallu, an outlaw who rises against oppressive rule to fight for justice and dharma.

Pawan Kalyan plays the titular role, while Bobby Deol stars as the primary antagonist. The cast also includes Nidhhi Agerwal. The film’s music has been composed by M.M. Keeravani.
