The theatrical trailer for Meghalu Cheppina Prema Katha was unveiled on Friday, offering a more detailed look at the romantic drama starring Naresh Agastya and Rabiya Khatoon, after the previous two teasers. The film, directed by Vipin, is set to release on August 22 under the banner of Sunethra Entertainments.

Set in the quiet hill station of Valparai, the film follows the evolving relationship between Varun, an aspiring musician dealing with the fear of failure, and Meghana, a calm presence in his life. The trailer hints at a story where music, nature, and emotion come together to build a connection between two people from different walks of life. The narrative draws on a metaphorical layer as well, Varun means “cloud” and Meghana as “rain,” reinforcing the emotional undercurrent in the story.

The tone of Meghalu Cheppina Prema Katha’s trailer is understated, driven by slice-of-life moments, light humour, and an introspective musical score by composer Justin Prabhakaran. Naresh Agastya, known for his performances in thrillers like Kali and Vikkatakavi, appears in a more tender, reflective role. Rabiya Khatoon plays Meghana, which marks her debut in Telugu cinema.

Produced by Uma Devi Kota, who also worked on the story and costume design, Meghalu Cheppina Prema Katha features an ensemble cast that includes Venkatesh Kakumanu, Harsha Vardhan, Tulasi, Aamani, Prince Rama Varma, Raja Chembolu, Mohan Raman, and Radhika Sarathkumar. Cinematography is by Mohana Krishna, with production design by Thota Tharani and editing by Marthand K Venkatesh.
