A few days ago, Rashmika Mandanna announced her next project Mysaa, which promises to show her in a rustic and action-driven avatar. Directed by Rawindra Pulle, Mysaa is mounted as an action-thriller. On Tuesday, the makers announced that noted action choreographer Andy Long has joined the Mysaa team. 

The makers also released a special BTS video featuring Andy Long, welcoming him in the team. “In the world of Mysaa, action isn’t just a part, it’s a statement. Welcoming on board Action Director Andy Long. Brace yourselves… the action just levelled up,” the post read. 

Andy Long, who has been active as an action director since 2008, has worked on more than 40 films and TV shows in his career so yet. His Indian filmography includes titles like Kalki 2898 AD, Liger, Sanak, Khuda Haafiz, and Shivaay. 

Ajay and Anil Sayappureddy serve as the producers for Mysaa, bankrolling the film under Unformula Films. More details about the film’s cast and crew are yet to be announced.

The first look poster, which was unveiled in June, features Rashmika in a violent, gritty avatar, as she looks intensely into the camera carrying a bloodied sword in her hand, and a scowl on her face.

Rashmika Mandanna has another film coming up with The Girlfriend, a coming-of-age drama directed by Rahul Ravindran. The Kuberaa actor is also part of Thama, where she shares screen with Ayushmann Khurrana and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
