Anil Ravipudi, who delivered a blockbuster with Sankranthiki Vasthunam, is working with Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara in his next entertainer, tentatively titled MEGA157. The project has generated a lot of enthusiasm among film-lovers for several reasons, Chiranjeevi returning to the comedy-entertainer genre being one of them. However, as a result, there have been many footage leaks from the film’s sets, including photos and small videos.

However, on Saturday, the MEGA157 team issued a statement, expressing their displeasure about the same. “We consider this a serious breach of trust and a violation of intellectual property rights. These actions not only disrupt the creative process but also undermine the efforts of the entire team working tirelessly on this highly anticipated project,” part of their statement read.

It is to be noted that the statement came from the makers within 24 hours of the footage leak of a song sequence being shot in Alappuzha with Nayanthara. The makers also warned those leaking the footage of stern legal action, adding, “Please note that any individual or platform found sharing, uploading, or circulating such leaked material will be subject to strict legal action under copyright infringement and anti-piracy laws.”

MEGA157 is being produced by Shine Screens and Gold Box Entertainments. The film marks Anil’s first collaboration with Chiranjeevi, and reunites the latter with Nayanthara after Sye Raa Narsimha Reddy and Godfather. While details of other primary cast members are yet to be officially announced, Bheems Ceciroleo returns as the music director for Anil Ravipudi, after their recent successful collaboration in Sankranthiki Vasthunam.

The film’s shoot commenced earlier in May this year, with the makers planning for a Sankranthi 2026 release, hoping to replicate the success of Sankranthi Vasthunam.

Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi has another release coming up with the much-delayed Vishwambhara. According to some reports, the makers are eyeing an October 2025 release.
