On Friday, the makers of Garividi Lakshmi unveiled the first look of their film. Kayal Anandhi plays the titular role in the film.

The first look poster features Anandhi in a joyful and optimistic mood, seated in a hand-rickshaw, holding her harmonium, which is clearly very dear to her. Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and TG Krithi Prasad of People Media Factory, Garividi Lakshmi is a biopic about renowned Burra Katha artist Garividi Lakshmi. The film is set to deal with the pressing issue of women’s identity theft.

The primary cast of the film includes notable actors like Rag Mayur, Ankith Koyya, Naresh, Raasi, Sharanya Pradeep, Ankith Koyya, and Nithin Prasanna. Additionally, Kancharapalem Kishore, Kushalini, Bongu Satya, Prabhavathi, and Gummadi Gopala Krishna will also be seen in significant roles.

Garividi Lakshmi is directed by Gowri Naidu Jammu. In the technical team, J Aditya handles the cinematography and Suresh Bhimagani is the production design.

The project was announced in December 2024. A month later, the makers released the first single from their film, which was a foot-tapping ode to vintage times of stage performances. The music direction for the film is by Charan Arjun. The Garividi Lakshmi makers are yet to announce a release date.

Anandhi has another film coming up with Premante, where she shares the screen with Priyadarshi. Her other recent Telugu projects include Bhairavam, which saw her in a grey-shaded role, and Shivangi - The Lioness.
