The makers of Bakaasura Restaurant have officially announced the release date for their comedy-horror film. Directed by debutant SJ Shiva, the film is scheduled to arrive in theatres on August 8.

Starring Praveen in the lead, Bakaasura Restaurant follows the story of five friends who decide to start a restaurant. In their desperate attempt to raise funds, the group inadvertently invites the wrath of the mythological demon Bakasura, setting off a chain of supernatural events. The central conflict revolves around how the friends confront and manage the chaos that ensues.

In addition to Praveen, the ensemble cast includes Harsha Chemudu (in an extended cameo), Shining Phani (as the demon), Krishna Bhagavan, Srikant Iyengar, Lakshmaiah Achari, Janardhan Achari, Uppena Jayakrishna, and others. The screenplay is co-written by Sai Dhamari.

On the technical front, Bakaasura Restaurant has cinematography by Bala Saraswati, editing by Marthand K Venkatesh, music by Vikas Badisa, and art direction by Sri Raja CR Thangala. The film is produced by Lakshmaiah Achari and Janardhan Achari under the SJ Movies banner.

Blending humour with horror and mythological themes, Bakaasura Restaurant aims to offer a genre-mixing experience for audiences, particularly fans of Telugu-language comedy thrillers.
