Bakasura Restaurant trailer: A bunch of underdogs struggle to handle a gluttonous demon in the upcoming comedy

The makers of Bakasura Restaurant released their official trailer at a grand ceremony on Friday. Among others, eminent filmmaker Maruthi was present at the ceremony as the chief guest.

Directed by debutant SJ Shiva, Bakasura Restaurant tells the story of five friends who want to open a restaurant. In order to arrange enough money, the group inadvertently ends up inviting the spirit of mythological demon Bakasur who wrecks havoc in their lives. How the five friends deal with the invited demonic guest is what the film is about. While Praveen plays the lead role, Shining Phani plays the gluttonous demon. The film also features Krishna Bhagavan, Garuda Ram, Srikant Iyengar, Uppena Jayakrishna, Vivek Dandu, Amar, Ram Patas, Ramya Priya, Prachi Thakur, and Jabardasth Apparao in the supporting cast, while Harsha Chemudu is slated for an extended cameo. 

Speaking on the occasion, Praveen said, “I’m happy that our trailer was released by Maruthi garu. His film Prema Katha Chitram played a major role in shaping my career.” Maruthi stated, “I’ve long wanted to see Praveen in a lead role, and today it has materialized. I’m confident this film will be a milestone in his career.”

The technical crew for Bakasura Restaurant includes cinematography by Bala Saraswati, editing by Marthand K. Venkatesh, and music by Vikas Badisa. Sai Dhamari is credited as the co-writer. Art direction is by Sri Raja CR Thangala. Produced by Lakshmaiah Achari and Janardhan Achari under the SJ Movies banner, Bakasura Restaurant promises to be a rollicking comedy entertainer with elements of horror. The film is yet to get a release date.
