Naga Vamsi, currently promoting his upcoming Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom, has hinted at the much-awaited collaboration between actor Jr NTR and director Trivikram Srinivas. Speaking in a recent interview with Gulte, Vamsi said the yet-to-be-announced film will be an ambitious project inspired by Indian epics.

“I want the announcement of Trivikram and Jr NTR gaaru’s film to be big,” Vamsi said. “Trivikram gaaru saw Ramayana’s glimpse and said, ‘Let’s do ours bigger than this.’ Pre-production is already underway and we are planning to start the shoot in the second half of 2026.”

He also added that the project, reportedly titled God of War, holds emotional significance for him due to Jr NTR’s family legacy: “Because senior NTR gaaru played many God roles and Jr NTR, being my favourite hero, is playing God for the first time, we will go all in on this.”

Meanwhile, Vamsi’s current production Kingdom is set to release on July 31. Written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, the film is set in a fictionalised version of Sri Lanka under military rule. It follows a story of conflict, survival, and rebellion. The film’s teaser, which has voice-overs by Jr NTR (Telugu), Ranbir Kapoor (Hindi), and Suriya (Tamil), offers a glimpse into its intense world.

Bhagyashri Borse stars as the female lead. Kingdom is produced under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, and presented by Srikara Studios. Music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with cinematography by Jomon T John and Girish Gangadharan. Editing is by Navin Nooli and production design by Avinash Kolla.
