Kiran Abbavaram, who was last seen in the intense romantic drama Dilruba, will be showcasing a completely different persona in his next film, titled K-Ramp. On Monday, the makers unveiled the first glimpse of the film, also announcing October 18 as the release date.

Written and directed by Jains Nani, K-Ramp presents its protagonist Kumar (Kiran Abbavaram) as an easy-going, chill dude who knows how to enjoy all things that life offers, and is backed by enough wealth to do so. As evident in the trailer, the film’s humour will be largely targetted at youth, with its ease of collouiqual lingo, bordering on the risque. In the glimpse, the makers also take a light-hearted dig at audience’s appreciation for Malayalam romantic movies over local Telugu romances, citing ‘lack of authenticity’ as a reason.

By the looks of it, K-Ramp promises to be an out-and-out entertainer, capturing many moods of Kiran Abbavaram as a performer, including action and comedy.

K-Ramp was officially launched in February this year, with the shoot commencing in May. The film is jointly produced by Razesh Danda and Shiva Bommakku under the banners of Hasya Movies and Rudramsh Celluloid. Yukti Thareja will be seen as the female lead opposite Kiran. Veteran actors like Naresh, Sai Kumar, and Vennela Kishore among others comprise the ensemble cast. Chetan Bharadwaj is composing music for the film.

In the technical team, Chota K Prasad is the editor and Satish Reddy Masam is the cinematographer. The production design is Brahma Kadali. Ravindra Raaja has penned the dialogues.

Recently, Kiran Abbavaram also announced other project as a producer, titled Thimmarajupalli TV, which is consciously developed as a project to encourage upcoming film talents. The actor has two other projects in the pipeline, including Chennai Love Story where he shares screen with Sri Gouri Priya.
