We had reported a few weeks ago that the makers of Ghaati, Anushka Shetty’s comeback vehicle, set July 11 as the release date for their film. However, the following weeks saw little promotion from the makers’ end. On Saturday, the Ghaati team officially confirmed postponing the film’s release.
Taking to their X page, the film’s co-producers First Frame Entertainment penned a note which read, “To honour every frame, every breath, we have chosen to hold its flight a little longer in our embrace. We believe this wait will make the experience more richer, intense and unforgettable.”
A new release date for the film is yet to be announced. Ghaati is directed by Krish Jagarlamudi. Produced by Rajeev Reddy and Sai Babu Jagarlamudi, the film also stars Vikram Prabhu in the lead.
The film’s crew has some prominent names like Thota Tharani and Sai Madhav Burra as production designer and dialogue writer, respectively. Editing is co-helmed by Venkata Swamy Nakka and Chanakya Reddy Toorupu. Manojh Reddy Katasani is the cinematographer. Ram Krishan has designed the action sequences. The story has been penned by Chintakindi Srinivas Rao.
Anushka Shetty’s last Telugu film, Mrs Shetty Mr Polishetty, released in September 2023.
