Harshaali Malhotra, who gained recognition for her role as Munni in the 2015 Hindi film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, is set to make her Telugu cinema debut in Akhanda 2: Thaandavam. The sequel to the 2021 action drama stars Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead and is directed by Boyapati Sreenu.

The makers unveiled Harshaali’s first look from the film on Wednesday, introducing her character as Janani. In the poster, she is seen in traditional attire, wearing a calm and graceful smile. While specific details about her role remain under wraps, the character appears to hold emotional significance within the narrative.

Akhanda 2: Thaandavam continues the spiritual action theme established in the first instalment. The teaser released recently showed Balakrishna in a more intense avatar, sporting a long beard and preparing for battle in a setting rooted in the Himalayas. The film also features Samyuktha in the female lead role, with Aadhi Pinisetty reportedly playing the antagonist. 

Produced by Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, Akhanda 2: Thaandavam is storming theatres on September 25, clashing with Pawan Kalyan's OG. Music is composed by S Thaman, whose score for Akhanda worked well with audiences.
