Baapu, an upcoming rural comedy, got its teaser on Tuesday. Set in a Telangana village, the teaser shows a grandfather character, played by Sudhakar Reddy of Balagam fame, committing suicide. There seem to be multiple perspectives and strong financial motivations for this event. Several other members of the old man’s family also talk about committing suicide.
